Lindsay's book, launched Sept 2010Equipilates™ workshops are based around the concepts and principles explored in Lindsay's book 'Pilates for Riders- Align your spine and control your core for a perfect position', published September 2010, though Lindsay will adapt the course around the particular requirements of the individuals within the group.
THESE WORKSHOPS CAN BE DELIVERED AT YOUR YARD! PACKED FULL OF PRACTICAL TIPS & USEFUL EXERCISES, THIS COURSE WILL DEFINITELY INSPIRE & IMPROVE YOUR RIDING!
HALF DAY TRINITY OF INFINITY WORKSHOP- MINIMUM 5, MAXIMUM 8 PARTICIPANTS This workshop will provide you with an in depth insight into how your can become a better rider and the techniques and tools to achieve better awareness, flexibility, functional strength (the sort of strength useful for riding), and balance. You will work through the Trinity for Infinity series as detailed in ‘Pilates for Riders- Align your spine and control your core for a perfect position’- Alignment, Breathing and Centring. These principles are your riding ‘ABC’ and establishing good patterns and positive habits in these areas are key to developing an elegant, and effective, position. £50 per person including refreshments (at The Dressage Studio), £55 per person elsewhere- you will need to provide your own refreshments. Included is a free piece of small equipment so you can put into practice at home what you have learned!
10am- Awareness and alignment on the wooden saddle horse- finding and activating the right core muscles for riding
11.30- refreshment break
11.45- 12.15 Breathing and balance work, including tension release techniques and stretching for tight muscle groups
12.15-1.15- Centreing- finding and developing core muscles to dvelop an elegant and effective position
1.15 light lunch
FULL DAY TRINITY OF INFINITY COURSES- MINIMUM 4, MAXIMUM 6 PARTICIPANTS Spend the morning session exploring everything detailed above in the half day course, then put your new skills into practice with a lesson on your own horse- a wonderful opportunity to focus mind and body and integrate positive new patterns into your training. The workshop fee is £85 at The Dressage Studio, £90 elsewhere, again including a piece of small equipment in the price so you can continue to improve at home!
