March 2013

Well at long last I've received the cover design for the new book!  It is very exciting- the next step in the long process of publication.  We're still on target for a September release- watch this space!

February 2013

I'm feeling very lucky at the moment- in the space of five months a FIFTH sponsor is now joining us to support the team here at The Dressage Studio!  It is wonderful to have Bliss Bedding to provide fantastic, comfy, supportive beds for the boys' bedrooms.

January 2013

We're delighted to announce a new partnership with Matchy Dressage who are joining the sponsorship team- can't wait to show off the boys in their gorgeous new outfits!

December 2012

Despite sub-zero temperatures Alfie and I had a great PSG outing at Field House in preparation for next season's qualifiers.  Let's hope it is a bit warmer next time!

November 2012

After a break from the competition circuit since April due to a field injury, Alfie and Lindsay grabbed half of their qualifying points for the Advanced Medium Open winter semifinals at Field House Equestrian on the 15th November.  Alfie was very pleased to be out showing off again- fingers crossed the snow holds off (temperatures of -15°C forecast!) so that they can continue competing regularly over winter!

October 2012

Lindsay is absolutely delighted to annouce an exciting partnership with new sponsor Black Country Saddles.  Lindsay has used Black Country saddles for her horses since early 2011 and has been thrilled with the quality of the products and unrivalled craftsmanship.  Her horses love them, and with support for the rider's position in all the right places, she does too.

August 3rd 2011- Lindsay and Alfie won the Advanced class today at Beaver Hall EC with 66.87%- it was sweltering and it was unclear who was the warmest at the end of the test!

July 2011- We welcome Taba's half brother (and Ticketyboo's full brother!) TDS Tuxedo to the fold- at 18.2hh he certainly is an upstanding chap, and though unbacked, he shows super movement and trainability.  He also loves cuddles which is a highly important factor in selecting a serious dressage horse ;-)

May 2011 -Very sadly, the latest news is the devastating loss of Lindsay's beautiful five year old gelding TDS Taba Heights. He was galloping with his sister in the field, as he often did (they loved to play), and suffered an aortic rupture.  He died two minues later in Lindsay's arms, and though the loss was sudden and shocking, the only comfort was that it was extremely quick.  He will be missed always xxxx

16th January 2011- Recommendation for the book on the US radio station 'The Jumping Radio Show'- go on to listen! It's on episode 42 at around 46 mins

28th December 2010- New review for Lindsay's book 'Pilates for Riders' from American equestrian site 'The Horse Studio'

' review: Turn on the right muscles for riding sports and turn off the wrong ones with these simple exercises. This book is chock full of excellent advice and photos that aid the rider to develop a simple, structured approach to access the best from the horse. The advice concerning which muscles to switch on and off during the half halt are particularly helpful. With four dimensional breathing you will find your horse will engage more positively and the author, experienced U.K. dressage trainer/rider and pilates expert Lindsay Wilcox-Reid, provides succinct instruction well versed in pilates as it applies to equestrians. An excellent book for the rider seeking to advance their tact, position and improve their application of aids in any discipline.'

13th and 14th November- YOUR HORSE LIVE 2010

It was a great weekend at Your Horse Live- Lindsay did three demonstrations in the 'Improve Your Riding' Zone which were extremely well attended and the Your Horse team said they had received lots of positive feedback.  Lots of signed copies of the book were sold and lot of requests to hurry up with the production of the DVD- don't panic folks- we're on the case!  The first DVD in the series will be available later this year- in time for next year's Christmas pressies!

25th September 2010

Lindsay's book 'Pilates for Riders' has just received its first review on Amazon- 5 stars!

'Fabulous book, 22 Sep 2010

This review is from: Pilates for Riders: Align Your Spine and Control Your Core for a Perfect Position (Paperback)

A fabulous book - the first of it's kind I'd say and well worth the money for those who are dedicated to improving both their riding and their competition scores. Full colour pictures, diagrams, detailed precise explanations and exercises tailored to improving specific rider weaknesses.

Stop blaming the horse, buy this book and start looking at what you're bringing (or not bringing) to the partnership! It's well written, easy to read and is packed with great information. I've learned a huge amount from it already. '

16th September 2010

The corporate launch of the National Equestrian Crime Database went extremely well today- Equipilates™ was invited along and as the first shipment of the book was received just beforehand, we were able to supply signed copies direct to the guests!  Every owner and rider really should join the NECD to help prevent and beat equestrian crime throughout the UK. September 3rd 2010

Sponsored rider Leonie Smith qualified today at Kingswood for the Advanced Medium and Prix Saint Georges freestyle on Absolut.  Well done Leonie and Alf!

28th July 2010

It's an exciting time here at The Dressage Studio, as by the end of September not only will Lindsay's book be published, but also we will have a brand new purpose built studio!  We will be hosting group classes and day workshops, along with Equipilates Teacher Training courses in the fabulous new building.  Work starts next week, keep checking for updates!
